Italy Trip

We have just returned from our product sourcing trip in Northern Italy. We met up with the MyYour team who gave us a tour of the factory.  It was great to see that they are in total control of everything, from design to manufacturing to packaging and delivery. It gave us great confidence in their products and to see the quality control at first hand was really encouraging. They gave us an exclusive preview of the new products to be launched at Maison & Objet in Paris in September, the most awesome exterior planting range, can’t say too much but watch this space and we will have them available online very soon. We were then taken for a fantastic lunch; they are in the heart of the Prosecco region, so naturally we did some tasting!  

We then went over to the De Castelli factory near Padova, this is a range we discovered in Milan and wanted to check them out. They again are in total control of every process, a family run business that have been manufacturing for decades. They make the most amazing plant pots, some are huge and in a variety of finishes, they also do some stunning metallic screens. Our web guys are busy getting some of the range onto the site, but it’s worth noting they will make any bespoke items in any colour.

Next day it was over to Treviso to meet with the management at Roberti Rattan, they are a more traditional company, very well established and entering the contemporary market with a stunning new range. Look out for the Hamptons range which we will be coming to the site, it’s a beautifully made outdoor sofa range (looks equally good inside) they have developed a weatherproof cushion system, perfect for the UK and the Yacht markets. We were looked after very well again, the factory is a stone’s throw from Valdobbiadene, the premium Prosecco area, Mr Roberti duly obliged and we polished off another fine chilled bottle before lunch in Venice, not a bad end to a successful trip.
